Think Spring: Children’s Books for the Upcoming Season

Although it may not feel like it yet, spring is just around the corner!   To celebrate the end of a long winter, browse through the Education Library’s Children’s Literature and Young Adult Collection and discover many delightful picture books about spring.   In And then it’s spring (written by Julie Fobliano; illustrated by Erin E. Stead), Kitten’s Spring (written and illustrated by Eugenie Fernandes) and Chicky Chicky Chook Chook (written and illustrated by Cathy MacLennan), read about animals and plants coming to life as the days get warmer, longer and (sometimes) rainier.

You can also take a look at the Education Library’s collection of materials celebrating the spring holidays.   Click on the following links for lists of recommended children’s books about Easter and Passover.

Happy reading!  And happy spring!
