As temperatures rise, remember that McGill Libraries can help you stay cool. Most library locations are air-conditioned (with the exception of the Birks Reading Room) and serve as designated cooling centres during heat waves. Students, faculty, and staff are welcome to stop by to cool down, take a break, connect to Wi‑Fi, explore one of our exhibitions, or enjoy artworks on display. Be sure to consult the Libraries’ hours listing before your visit. To learn more about how extreme heat can affect your health, check out the slideshow below, and for additional tips and resources, visit the Office of Sustainability’s guide on Staying Safe During Heatwaves.
