From March 11 to the end of April, the McGill Library launched LibQUAL+ Survey, an online questionnaire of user satisfaction open to students and faculty. This is the 9th time the Library has conducted LibQUAL+ since 2001. In the past, we have used results to inform decisions in the library, and to monitor trends among our different users. The survey asked questions about library collections, services, and spaces, as well as about users’ characteristics, and how frequently they use the library. The survey was granted ethical approval by McGill’s Institutional Review Board. Approximately 10,000 randomly selected students were invited to participate ( ~25% of all McGill students) as well as all 1,500 tenure stream faculty. Survey participants were eligible to win 1 of 2 iPads.

Maestro, drum roll please…..our iPad winners are…..Robert Seddon, a graduate student in the Faculty of Science and Gaushika Mahadevan, an undergraduate student in the Faculty of Arts. Congratulations to Robert and Gaushika and thanks to everyone who took the time to participate in this survey. Your feedback is priceless and always welcome!
